Is HDR photography good for real estate photography?
HDR stands for high dynamic range and is the most common method used in real estate photography.
HDR photography is a photography method used by professional photographers to capture images that will show high quality details in both light and dark areas of a scene. This company’s founder, began using HDR photography in 2008, making him one of the most experienced HDR photographers around.
HDR photographers typically capture 3 to 5 exposures of the same scene. These exposures are then manually edited by our professional real estate photography editors to create one stunning photo.
Is flambient photography better for real estate photography?
“Flambient” is another method used in real estate photography which combines photos taken in ambient light with photos taken with a flash.
Typically, flambient photographers charge more for this type of photography since it involves the use of additional equipment.
HDR and flambient techniques both aim to capture images that will show the details in both light and dark areas of a scene.
Flambient photographers typically capture at least 2 exposures, but sometimes up to 7 or 8 are needed to “flash” and fill in areas in the same scene.
The editing process can sometimes be more time consuming than HDR processing since additional editing is usually required. Some prefer flambient over HDR as colors are considered more accurate.
Flambient is available as an option on our order form if desired at an added cost. Agents tend to invest in the additional cost only for high end luxury listings.
